This course is designed to cover the fundamentals and dynamics of carrying a concealed or open carry handgun on a daily basis. This course is designed for the student with basic to advanced skills in proper handgun shooting fundamentals. The course will focus on the shooting and handling of a handgun in relation to its real-world applications from a concealed or open carry holster, in an urban environment. The students will engage targets out to 15 yards with emphasis on situational awareness, counter ambush techniques against the human predator, multiple threat engagements and the human ability on visual reaction threat response and assessments. The students will be put through a series of physical and mental scenarios to test their ability to apply the fundamentals of shooting under physical and mental stress.

Intro to Competitive shooting.
This course is an introduction to competitive shooting. It is not all encompassing, and may differ from various shooting disciplines, ranges, divisions or regions of the country. Its designed to give those unfamiliar with competitive shooting, a taste of what is to be expected of them as shooters when stepping onto the range, as well as understanding the “game” and how to be most efficient in your stage breakdowns, walkthroughs and set ups. We will also talk about gear, safety, and other things that pertain to the sport.

“Beyond the Basics” course is designed to build upon the skills of each student. Students will be introduced to new concepts, skills and tactics designed to increase speed, efficiency and accuracy. Starting with mindset, this class will focuses on the core foundation of accuracy, acceptable accuracy under dynamic stress. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, positions and strategies for concealed carry and home safety while responding to a violent confrontation.
